MY JOURNEY SO FARSri LankaUnited Arab EmiratesSeychellesMaldivesNew Zealand
01 / A little about me

A head for numbers.
A heart for people.

I grew up in the central region of Sri Lanka, a beautiful island that will always be part of who I am. My professional journey began at KPMG, where working across different industries gave me a foundation in audit, accounting, and the discipline of looking closely at the details. That foundation took me into finance roles in the UAE, Seychelles, Maldives, and New Zealand. Working in a regulated financial environment in Dubai was an important turning point. Each country brought different people, expectations, and ways of working — and another opportunity to learn. Today, Auckland is home. I’m a husband, a proud father, and someone who values kindness and a can-do attitude. I enjoy meeting people, adapting to change, and finding useful ways to contribute. For me, a good career and a meaningful life grow together.

The perspective that comes with a new place

From Sri Lanka to the UAE, Seychelles, Maldives, and New Zealand, each chapter of my journey has introduced me to different people and ways of working. Joining KPMG, working in a regulated firm in Dubai, and moving to New Zealand stand out as important turning points.

Personal perspective / September 2026

Room for life beyond the desk

A walk, a hike, or time beside the sea can change the pace of a week. I enjoy beaches and mountains, and I still remember the clear water and white sand of Seychelles. In New Zealand, the Taranaki area is another place I have enjoyed.

Also on my radar: Financial crime investigation stories, practical business ideas, and the possibilities of AI. Rich Dad Poor Dad is among the books I’ve enjoyed.

09 / Let’s connect

Good work starts
with a conversation.

I’m interested in opportunities where I can contribute my finance experience, practical mindset, and willingness to learn.
